Re: Right and wrong

Well that was an interesting story!

I'm afraid though, you're not wrong. You could do any or all of the things above, and it wouldn't make any odds to the great scheme of things, or to me personally. The only guide for you use to decide on these things, is whether you want to experience them. Are they 'you'?

In the end, it doesn't matter at all. In your experience here and now, you'd greatly regret doing them. I know people like to believe there's a right and wrong way to act, but in the end it doesn't matter. It's your choice though and it has always been. Just like Raphael...

Given his dedication to his trout, it makes perfect sense to him to try to manipulate the situation to get it back. To him, any other considerations are entirely irrelevant (or at least secondary) when it comes to trout. Some people have said that George Bush feels much the same about oil.

At the moment, things seem to be going in Raphael's favour. If it's any comfort, Michael feels much the same as you do. He's been trying to persuade Gabriel to just clean the fish and give it back. On the plus side, if she does, Raphael has promised to give the money back and no-one will be any the wiser.

Don't feel bad for events that others have instigated. You were at a club, drinking a bit more than you should and arguing with your ex. Afterwards you opened up to Gabriel and Michael. Nothing too serious, certainly you could not be said to be responsible for the thousands of children's lives Raphael is basically holding hostage.

You are not the first, nor will you be the last to dedicate your life to something that wasn't true. If your entire life has been a 'waste of time' then find something new to dedicate your life to. I would not have my children staying alive (constantly bowed low in prayer to me too) just because they feared being tortured forever. If you want your life to have purpose, you'll have to make one (or more) yourself.

As to me being a 'beacon of hope', well sorry to disappoint! But having expectations in a relationship is one way to be sure it won't work out. As to why you're here, well, same reason everyone is. Your human science has a theory about this, which basically says that every event that can happen does happen. So at every possible decision point, nigh infinite events happen, creating multiple universes. As souls, you choose which path to follow yourselves (usually not consciously). This is the method I decided upon to ensure that you would all have the option of free will, BUT at the same time, I would know how every event plays out. Therefore, God could be said to know everything, and nothing.

The point of you being here, and thus the point of life, could therefore be said to be this - "To experience every possible permutation of experience, so that upon returning to me, we would all have had the experience of life".

Now, you said you didn't go to church today. Church is another interesting thing humans have come up with. It is something that shows how humans try to apply human values to God, such as judgement of sin, needfulness, jealousy and now, not satisfied with people on their knees praying to me, humans think I need them to build grand structures to do it in! Just how egotistical do you people think I am?

Funny how consuming things that people 'know' aren't good for them somehow make them feel better. It's one of the many contradictions that have angels saying humans are 'cute'.

Well human thing, if she did, would you be able to live with it? You've just said you feel responsible for the whole thing, which is working exactly as I desire.

If I were to ask you, "when have trout ever purposely done any harm?" nobody sane would be able to give an example. Ask the same about humans, and you'd probably wipe out all the forests to get enough paper to make a list. Given the damage you're doing to trout (and everything else you human things touch), I personally think humans deserve what I've done, consider it a kind of revenge from nature.

I'm not the only angel who thinks this. There's a fair amount of us who would see humans eradicated for the crimes against nature and each other. At least animals tend to kill just for food, or just because it's instinct.

Morally, humans are less than the worms who slither through the dirt below your planet. I do think though, that "Earth" is an appropriate name, meaning something dirty you tread on and hope not to get on your shoes.

And that human thing, is how I justify stealing money from one species to help a single member of another species who are ethically superior.

As to the book, well, just proves humans create some truly awful things. At least we can agree on that matter though.

I'll use your name when your race proves it deserves to be looked at with anything other than contempt and slight nausea.

Love, light and trout,

Raphael
